¨Guiding is essentially about a genuine enjoyment and an honest appreciation of, and dedication to all the many faces nature has to offer us. It is indeed a privileged occupation. Imagine being paid to take people out into the wilds of Africa!"
An extract from the book 'A Guides guide to Guiding'- Garth Thompson

*Qualifications currently offered on the one year course
Due to regulations set out by FGASA, in order to complete more advanced qualifications as a trainee guide you need to gain a minimum number of days guiding. Therefore within the one-year course Bushwise is able to offer the national qualifications required to become a legal field guide (marked with * above) and the chance to gain the necessary experience.
The national standards for field guiding are in the process of being revised, so the qualifications on offer on the one year course are subject change in relation to the regulations specified by the FGASA.
